Monthly Focus: Being Proactive

"It means to begin each day with those values firmly in mind. As the challenges come, I can make my decisions based on those values. I can act with integrity. I don't have to react to the emotion, the circumstance. I can be truly proactive, value driven, because my values are clear."

Welcome to st. justin catholic elementary school

Dear Parents and Guardians:

Looking back on 2011 we have so much to be proud of and thankful for. Our students have grown in their respect and care for one another. Over the past few months I have had the opportunity to share milk and cookies will all students from Grades 1-6. It has been a joy to just sit and talk with them. One thing our students have voiced over and over is their love of our school and staff.  I have often heard them say that the students here are “nice” and “not mean” to one another. This is true!  Thanks for being great parents, it makes a difference.

When our community gathered together for the Christmas concert, I felt very proud to be a part of St. Justin School. The students were so excited to shine on stage for all to see. They were an image of the angels in heaven. As parents, you looked on with pride and reflected the love of God to our children. Thank you to all who came to join us.

When we come back to school after the Christmas break, it will be time for our students to concentrate on their school work so that they can do their very best.  At the end of the newsletter I have added a tip sheet for parents to suggest ways that you can support your child in their schoolwork. One of the best ways to help is to show an interest in what they are learning and read with them as often as possible.

All the best to everyone for 2012!
